The Cooked Army is the major attraction of the capital of the Shaanxi. Discovered in 1974 by a peasant who dug a well, it is composed by the tomb of Qin Shi Huangdi, the first Emperor of China (200 BC), and by thousands of soldiers and horses full-sized, equipped with real military weapons. It took 40 years of work, and 700.000 craftsmen, to realize the Emperor's dream.
During a revolt, the peasants forced the entry of the burial to seize the weapons and set fire to the wood roof which recovered the unit. This one collapsed on the land forces which felt in the lapse of memory during 22 centuries.
